What was the highlight of Uno Backpackers Inn

Good basic stay in a central location

The location is very convenient - just across the street from a metro station, two stops away from the main station and close to a nightmarket + other shops and connections. The way the hotel looks outside is really fun - definitely easy to find! And I liked the roof terrace with laundry (though you cannot hang out there much because of the poor air quality of the city). All in all, good value!

There wasn’t anything WRONG with the room, but the decor is very ascethic and doesn’t make you feel like home. Just a very basic, anonymous budget hotel room. Also, you have to pay for the laundry (but there is a coin exchange machine!).

wonderful staff. around the corner from park, MRT, night market, malls. wonderful rooftop facilities for laundry, hangout, and eating as well as view of Kaohsiung. large common facilities for lounging, eating, cooking, or storing food. ample materials like guides to local attractions, shelves with free books. 2 elevators for ease of getting up and down of the building.

Quick and easy stay in Kaohsiung on Christmas Eve!

Prime location and awesome upper floor patio. Didn't get to use it this time, due to time constraints, but have stayed here twice now and seems a great option! Location is prime and many shops / restaurants around

Great location, there is a metro and bus station located very close. The staff was very helpful when I had any questions. A very comfortable stay.

The shelves (that are located in your sleeping space) were quite dusty, so I had to wipe them myself.

I stayed in the Female Dormitory for 6 days. I think it's worth every penny!

The toilet and shower is big and clean!! There's bidet available, lots of free tissue paper! The top floor is a nice place to chill. They also have washing machines and dryers so it's very convenient! The water preasure is strong! All of the hair dryers work!

I stayed at the female dormitory. The room is very nice! Bed is comfortable. My only comment would be: maybe they can put more hooks on the wall for our clothes? Or place hooks inside the capsules. The capsule is a little bit dusty... I just place my phone for 5 minutes, and now it's full of dust. Other than that, I slept really well!! I stayed here for 6 nights and overall I am happy with the experience!

Good hostel/hotel with big private rooms

We stayed in a private room, which was very big and comfortable. The bathroom is good and clean. They have a cheap laundry machine and a dryer. Location is next to the metro and the Central Park. Very good hostel to stay a few nights. We actually stayed here 4 nights with two different bookings and it was no problem for the staff to get them together so we didn’t had to change rooms.

unfortunately our room 901 was on the street side and very loud, as the windows are not blocking any noise at night. The other rooms don’t have a window at the street so try and get a different than ours.

Good place, very near MRT Station, easy to go any where. Staff very friendly, highly recommend if you stay in Kaohsung.

The bathroom some time dirty, out of toilet paper, need clean more.

Superb

Good central location, close to MRT and not far from Liuhe Night Market. All the facilities you need for a comfortable stay - the lounge area was large and clean, although more power sockets would have been nice. Staff was helpful and there was always one of them who spoke English. There was information about the main attractions ready at hand. Beds had curtains for privacy which also kept the light out very efficiently. Power sockets and good internet. Nice to have a female-only wing, especially the bathroom, even though I suspect some of the male guests used it too instead of walking up to the next floor for the male bathroom. Not sure what the hostel staff can do though, it's clearly marked everywhere that it's for women only. Wasn't a problem for me (I only saw one guy brushing his teeth once) but it's a little annoying that some men don't respect this, especially when for some women it's very important to be able to relax when doing your facial routine or taking a shower in a female-only space. Maybe it will be better to make the whole floor female-only, and the next floor male-only?

The bathroom could have been cleaned more often or more thoroughly. There were often hair on the floor in the toilets. Hard to make sure everything is super clean all the time though when it's such a big hostel. Didn't find any problem with the showers though, they were quite clean. The lockers in the room were very small - you can't fit a laptop in there, just the basic valuables.

OK hostel, great location but a bit noisy being on the main street

Easy check-in, great location for exploring the city, 5 minute walk from the metro. The room was clean and quiet, window was small. We asked for a kettle which wasn't a problem.

The bed was hard and we didn't sleep very well. It was noisy outside being on the main street. The washing machines on the top floor were expensive and didn't really clean or rinse our clothes.

convenient location at a decent price

the location is great and the different hang out areas good if you cannot check into your room.

the bathrooms could be cleaner. the luggage storage is not ideal (without tags). the staff could be slightly more flexible when it comes to check-in (arrived at 15:35 and had to wait 25min to access the room).

Great place, very comfortable

The hostel I really like and stayed at before in Kaohsiung was fully booked so I came here and was really happy with my stay. The bed is super comfortable and warm with a curtain for privacy, a light, and a charging outlet. The bathroom was clean and with hot water. There's a fully equipped kitchen downstairs with a toaster oven, microwave, stove, and fridge. It's also not far from Kaohsiung main station and next to the metro and some bus stops. Very clean and cozy place would definitely stay again

The girl checking me in wasn't so friendly but I think maybe it was a language barrier issue
